Integrated Nurse Leadership Program
Funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, this program's purpose is to simultaneously develop in-place Bay Area hospital leaders and managers, and assist them in crafting strategic initiatives that address issues of nurse retention and patient safety.
National Fund for Medical Education Speakers Award
An annual award to support speakers who address health related topics, with a special focus on supporting health profession student organizations and interdisciplinary themes.

Pew Health Professions Commission
This ten-year initiative, ending in 1999, assisted policy makers address the changing needs of the American health care system. The commission, a national and interdisciplinary group of health care leaders, defined 21 Competencies for Health Professionals.

Pew Latin American Fellows Program in the Biomedical Sciences
Selective award program supporting young scientists from Latin America for post-doctoral training in the United States to provide them with an opportunity to further their scientific knowledge, and promote scientific exchange and collaboration between investigators in the U.S. and Latin America.
Pew Scholars Program in the Biomedical Sciences
Selective award program supporting early-career scientific investigators of outstanding promise in the basic and clinical sciences relevant to the advancement of human health.
Pharmacy Leadership Institute
This collaborative effort with the UCSF School of Pharmacy examines the challenges that confront the field of pharmacy, both now and in the future, and identifies ways in which pharmacy leaders can respond to them.
